On-site where possible

Most annual acoustic calibrations can be done at your location inside a working day, which avoids shipping entirely. Exhaustive calibration and any repair involving parts generally needs the instrument at the bench. We will say which applies before collecting anything.

Loaners so testing does not stop

A loaner of comparable specification, calibrated and certified in its own right, goes out when an instrument comes in for anything beyond a same-day job. Its certificate travels with it, because a loaner without current calibration is no more usable for compliance testing than the instrument it replaced.

Plan around the anniversary, not after it

Calibration lapses almost always happen because scheduling started when the certificate expired rather than a month before. We flag the due date ahead and will hold a slot; testing done on an out-of-calibration instrument is not defensible and may need repeating at your cost.

When repair stops being worth it

For older instruments there comes a point where parts availability and cumulative repair cost exceed the value of continuing. We will tell you when we think you have reached it, including when that means we do less work. Replacing an instrument that still has years in it is a waste, and so is repairing one that does not.
